“When you deliver a baby on Subutex [a drug used to treat addiction], the cry – it just goes to your soul,” she said. “It’s a high-pitched squeal from a newborn that you’ll never hear [otherwise]. And this is not a baby that can be soothed. They will scream and scream, whatever you do.”
